Sigh.
This was not a good week for me.
In one of my match ups, I was projected to win by over 30 points. I was feeling particularly optimistic when LeSean McCoy got me 27.2 points . . . but then the Broncos played.
Tears of deep sadness
My wounded heart is crying
Broncos crushed my soul
I played Trevor Siemian as my quarterback and he got me a whopping 7.4 points. Against the Chargers.

The defense played well, but our offense just couldn’t get it together and the Broncos were completely shut out for the first time since 1992. At this point, a lot of fingers are being pointed at Trevor Siemian and a lot of people are calling for him to be replaced as the quarterback. I’ll concede that he hasn’t played well for the last couple games, but I think there’s something else going on. He missed part of last season because of a left shoulder injury but he came back and seemed okay. During the first few games of this season, he looked amazing . . . and then he took some bad hits, landing on his left shoulder nearly every time. I could be wrong, but I think he’s injured and trying to play through it.

Honestly, I think the Broncos biggest issue is the coaching staff. The play calling is bad, we keep making bad decisions–it’s like having John Fox back as the head coach.
NO NO NO NO NO
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
NO NO NO NO NO
At least John Fox was better than Josh McDaniels, so I guess that’s something.
The Broncos and my most eloquent haiku to date aside, my fantasy teams are pretty much toast. I have two players in tonight’s game, but unless Zach Ertz and Zach Brown get a combined 38 points, I’m going to lose in my first league. In my second league, all my players are done and I lost by 40 points. I would like to place all the blame on Marshawn Lynch for getting ejected from the game for grabbing a ref, but most of my team looked like garbage anyway.

If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go re-watch Super Bowl 50 so I can re-live happier days.
